Every book recommendation on BookMoodMatch is editorially curated by human readers, not generated by algorithms.
Our Process
- Reading: We read every book we recommend. No exceptions.
- Mood tagging: Each book receives 1-3 mood tags based on the dominant emotional experience.
- Cross-referencing: We check reader sentiment across Goodreads, StoryGraph, and book communities.
- Quality threshold: We only recommend books we would personally lend to a friend.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not accept payment for placements
- We do not use AI-generated reviews
- We do not copy lists from other sites
- We do not recommend books we have not read
